Our new backyard :)
This wonderful bottle of wine (Chateau St Michelle) given to us by my co-worker Jenny served as the very first of what will be many of these monthly dinners at our new house. The Riesling went nicely with a dozen oysters from Dabob Bay (not too far from here) and some shrimp kabobs.
We were Married on Oct 22nd 2011. We asked that people gift us a bottle of wine that will age well. We now have over 80 bottles of wine. This is their story...

A New Home (July 2012)
We bought a house on Bainbridge Island and we're incredibly excited! It's a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Seattle and such a beautiful place. The wine has also found a new home in the basement/cellar.
6.26.12 (Month 8)
Short ribs again! And another great Cab made on Vashon Island by Palouse Winery. We drank it the week we decided not to move to Vashon. It is an incredible place and this wine will always have some significance and remind us of that decision process.
5.23.12 (Month 7)
Crosscut grilled short ribs, so good, with a nice Cab from Vashon Winery. We bought this bottle while and exploring the island and dreaming about whether or not we would someday want to move here!?!?
4.24.12 (Month 6)
The lamb was so good I wanted to make it again! This time we enjoyed it with a fun bottle from Girly Girl Vineyards given to us by Jeanne and Dennis. Thanks!
3.23.12 (Month 5)
This was a wonderful wine from Ledson Vineyard given to us by my Uncle Mark and Aunt Sue. We enjoyed it with an amazing rack of lamb that we did in preparation for a dinner we catered for Awake Church.
